(5730) Debate in the boundary of killing one who cohabits with a heathen woman that "zealots may punish him" but "If the zealot comes to take counsel [whether to punish the transgressors], we do not instruct him to do so" (Tal.Sanh 82b).

Explanation of Rashi (ibid 25:8): "through her stomach": "everyone saw that he had not killed them for nothing"

Explanation of the severity of the the sin and the "loss" of one who cohabits with a heathen for "there is nothing in all the illicit relations like it" (Rambam Hil. Issurei Biah 12:7). Yet one is only allowed to kill him only during the act.
